Characteristics

Size: 15-30 cm.
Colour: Red and white, with yellow spines.
Shape: Slender shaped fish with long spines on the back.
Other specifics: Nocturnal.

 

 


Habitat environment and ecology

Inhabits shalow coral reefs, resting under ledges during daytime, nocturnal feeding on sandy bottom

Caribbean, Bahamas, Florida, Bermuda, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Cape Verde Islands, BES-eilanden: St. Eustatius
