Summary

Bryozoans. Thin, encrusting colonies are red to pink and occassionally gold. In natural light usually fluoresce pale green. Calcified, relatively large, tooth-shaped zooid chambers give the surface of the colony a beaded texture.

Habitat environment and ecology

Inhabits reefs. Encrust in protected areas, such as around bases of coral heads, in crevious and recesses, under ledge overhangs and in depressions on walls.
