To be confused with

- Channel Clinging Crab Mithrax spinosissimus

Characteristics

Size: Carapace up to 10 cm wide.
Colour: Carapace and walking legs is reddish-brown
Shape: The walking legs and the claw arms are set with numerous spines. Claws smooth.

Habitat environment and ecology

Inhabit coral reefs. Inhabits rocky areas and reefs. Depth: ranges from 5 m down to 15 m.

Distribution range

BES-eilanden: St. Eustatius.
